I opted for detachable trains, capes and dozens of yards of tulle for our wedding day. I walked down the aisle in a ballroom gown with a massive petticoat underneath. The shell of the dress was adorned in a Swarovski crystals, a breast plate from Paris and fabrics from New York’s famous Fashion District. I literally spent days searching ALL of the shops on Fashion Row for the perfect fabrics. I removed the 12 foot train for the reception and transformed my Elizabethan ballroom gown into a mermaid look. Once we were done with dinner, I traded my mermaid gown for a sequin jumpsuit, also with a removable train. When Tony and I made our grande exit, I removed the half- train from the jumpsuit and wore a matching cape. All of my wedding looks were designed by Master Seamstress, Andrena Meeks (Atlanta, GA). She’s the bomb, here’s her email. Thank me later! andrenameekseagle@gmail.com
Tony’s tuxedo was a bespoke piece made in Dallas. He and his tailor spent several weeks handpicking the wool window pane grey fabric that was finally chosen. The jacket had imported adornments and custom-embroidered silk lining. It was completed with a dinner vest, a handmade ruffled shirt and a handmade bow tie. His shoes were made by hand by a cobbler living in Pakistan (they actually arrived 2 days before the wedding)! WHEW!
