Tony was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, a mere 120 miles from Naja’s hometown, Memphis, TN.  They both moved to Dallas, TX in their 20’s. In their 30’s, Tony and Naja each made New York City their home. The funny part is, despite always living within 5-120 miles from one another for their ENTIRE LIVES, Tony and Naja never bumped into each other……

UNTIL….

close friends suggested they each try Online Dating! Despite their initial hang-ups, Tony & Naja created online profiles on a popular dating website. When Tony came across Naja’s profile, he instantly saw something special in her. He read her detailed profile and immediately noticed how much they have in common. They both love God, they’re both athletes, their parents are still married, they are both the 1st born….and the list goes on! Their first date was Winter 2013. It started out as a quaint dinner in Harlem and ended with the two of them dancing the night away until their feet hurt. The night was full of laughs and meaningful conversation. And while Tony was taking Naja back to her home, he asked for a second date!

Tony and Naja took their time and focused on genuinely getting to know one another. They’ve been blessed with the opportunity to build a relationship confirmed by their Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ and they truly have a sincere loyalty, trust and undying devotion to one another. They both humbly smile at the fact that wherever they go, people always tell them how beautiful of a couple they are! Tony has been known to tell Naja that she’s discovered his true essence and people can see his heart glowing. Naja says it’s because Tony is the most handsome, well dressed man she knows. Either way, their love has withstood trial and tribulations, sickness health, richer and poorer and they are so excited to take their vows to become Husband & Wife before God, their family and friends. 

Tony Says:

“Naja has been by my side through thick and thin. She’s the only woman that’s made me become the man I’ve always known I could be. She makes me better, she prays with me and for me. She’s drop dead gorgeous.She has the most emphatic heart and she’s a great woman. She loves my kids and that really makes me happy. She’s taught me what real, romantic grown folks love is and I look forward to spending the rest of my life showing her how grateful I am that she is giving me her hand in Marriage.”

Naja Says:

“Tony is a man’s man. He is strong, yet gentle. Stern, yet graceful. He has the biggest heart I’ve ever known and his love is warm and constant. He has never,ever wavered. I love him because, I believe in him. I believe that he is the man that God made especially for me (I’ve known that for many years now). I fell in love with him the day I saw him get on his knees and pray on my behalf. When I look at my future Husband, I see more than a man. Tony is my daily reminder that God answers my prayers and that He loves me so much that He sent me the most amazing life partner.”

The wedding is August 20th, which is Tony’s parents 33rd Anniversary! Naja’s parents will celebrate 39 years on June 25th this summer as well. Tony and Naja know how blessed they are to have seen such positive examples of marriage and they have their parents to thank for it!
